“Wagner has fascinated me all my life. because of this wonderful, indulgent, sensual music that brings the sound to blossom beyond the melody. even in its first appearance, die kunst was associated with cult, religion and the total work of art. and wagner is the exposer of the total work of art. he made it light up. "(Hermann Nitsch)

The performing arts had a great fascination for Hermann Nitsch since his youth. For this reason, he not only realizes his own actions, but also repeatedly follows the renowned Rufr opera and theaters and participates in third-party productions. Among other things, he was responsible for the scenic conception, stage design and equipment of Jules Massenet's “Hérodiade” at the Vienna State Opera in 1995. In 2011 he staged “Saint Francois d‘Assise” by Olivier Messiaen at the Bavarian State Opera. Source:

Street photography is a genre of photography that includes numerous photographers and styles. In general, this means a photograph that is created in urban public space, looking into the streets, into shops or cafes, picking out groups of passers-by or individuals, often as a snapshot, but also as an essay-like sequence and milieu study. ROMEO AND JULIET

With William Shakespeare's iconic tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”, the Perchtoldsdorf 2020 Summer Games will put what is perhaps the most famous love story in classical world literature on the program.

"With Valentin Postlmayr (Romeo) and Lena Kalisch (Juliet), two young actors will be on stage in Perchtoldsdorf who are mature enough to play these roles, although they can embody innocence and youth in a credible and touching way," says Michael Sturminger about its protagonists.

In the proven team with the set and costume designers Renate Martin and Andreas Donhauser, the dramaturge Angelika Messner and the musician Pogo Michael Kreiner, Michael Sturminger embarks on the exciting journey, “This wonderful 'tragedy of first love' in front of the castle is simple and touching to bring about "

ENSEMBLE: Valentin Postlmayr, Lena Kalisch, Andreas Patton, Emanuel Fellmer, Marie-Christine Friedrich,

Veronika Glatzner, Raphael Nicolas, Karl Walter Sprungala.

LIFE The GLOBART Academy started with a new format in the ESSL Museum - the triad "LEBEN MACHT SINN". From October 3rd to 19th we transformed the museum into an artistic and philosophical living space. We transformed the empty museum into a social laboratory for thinking, lingering and experimenting together.
