The performing arts had a great fascination for Hermann Nitsch since his youth. For this reason, he not only realizes his own actions, but also repeatedly follows the renowned Rufr opera and theaters and participates in third-party productions. Among other things, he was responsible for the scenic conception, stage design and equipment of Jules Massenet's “Hérodiade” at the Vienna State Opera in 1995. With William Shakespeare's iconic tragedy “Romeo and Juliet”, the Perchtoldsdorf 2020 Summer Games will put what is perhaps the most famous love story in classical world literature on the program.

LIFE The GLOBART Academy started with a new format in the ESSL Museum - the triad "LEBEN MACHT SINN". From October 3rd to 19th we transformed the museum into an artistic and philosophical living space. We transformed the empty museum into a social laboratory for thinking, lingering and experimenting together.

AUSTRIAN FILM AWARD 2020
The Austrian Film Awards 2020 were awarded by the Academy of Austrian Film on January 30, 2020 in the auditorium of Grafenegg Castle in Lower Austria. The nominations were announced on December 4, 2019. Little Joe received the most, in a total of ten categories, from Jessica Hausner, followed by Der Boden unter den Fuß by Marie Kreutzer with seven and Joy and Nevrland, each with six nominations. The award ceremony was moderated by Salka Weber and Markus Schleinzer, directed by Mirjam Unger.

The International WACHAUmarathon took place in the Wachau for the 22nd time today. For the first time, Christian Steinhammer, an Austrian, made it to the podium again in the half marathon. Perfect weather made the 22nd International WACHAUmarathon a huge running event!
EUBG Training (AustrianArmedForces)
An EU Battlegroup (EUBG) is a military unit adhering to the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) of the (EU).
Often based on contributions from a coalition of member states, each of the eighteen Battlegroups consists of a battalion-sized force (1,500 troops) reinforced with combat support elements.
The groups rotate actively, so that two are ready for deployment at all times. The forces are under the direct control of the Council of the European Union.
